Island Time (5/17/13 - 5/22/13)

Matt had been working so hard over the past couple of years that I really wanted to do something special to celebrate his graduation, so with the help of Uncle Pink and Barb, we planned a trip to Fowl Cay. Fowl Cay (a.k.a. Little Fowl Cay/ Chicken Cay) is heaven on earth (I refer to it as Neverland), and we were so grateful that Matt's Uncle Pink could take the week off to take us down to the island and play around with us a bit. Matt's two best friends Matt Marcantoni a.k.a. Cantoni, and Matt Prowant were able to come along with us for the week. It was a small crew, but it was an amazing time. I will never get over the beauty of that place. On our trip we went fishing at the wreck, off of the runway, and went bone fishing off of Pike Cay. We snorkeled off of the runway beach, the aquarium, the plane crash wreck, and thunder ball grotto. We visited Rachel's, Hog Cay, Sampson Cay, and went spear fishing off of Compass Cay, and off of the island. We hung out on the beach, played cards, played Mexican Train, shot clays, hit some golf balls around, and ate way too much! It was the trip of a lifetime.

Day 1:

Cantoni can find a drink anywhere
Parrot Fish! I have an obsession with them. I LOVE them!

Shooting clays! like I said, Neverland, where boys run away to when they don't want to grow up!

Perfect shot!

I love the aquarium because it makes me feel like a mermaid :)
This picture is so creepy to me. All the fish are staring at you. I feel like they are saying, "One of us, one of us"!
Swimmin with the fishes!

Helping Norman add some bamboo.

This is the memorial Uncle Pink placed on the island in honor of his father, and Matt's Grandpa, Charles "Charlie" H. Munz. Everything he said about Grandpa Charlie, could also be said for Matt's Uncle Pink. The Munz men leave big shoes to fill, and I am very fortunate to be married to one.

This is Chemo! He is Norman's island dog, and he is one of the best dogs you will ever meet.

Darn right! PHS Class of 2003, Go Pirates!!

 Day 5:

The island tradition is to paint a sign to represent your trip, so I painted this sign for ours!

Bonefish, lemon shark, and me! What a catch!
This storm delayed our departure for about two hours, but we would rather be safe, than sorry.

Rainbow!

Rain on the windshield
The Munz Compound!

We had the BEST welcoming committee! Melissa, Lauren, and their boys were waiting for us to land, and the boys even helped us unpack the plane.

Thank you Uncle Pink!!
