Homestead Fun in the Sun (5/22/13- 5/23/13)

When Matt and I started dating he had already been my good friend for 8 years, so when we got engaged I already knew what a great man I was going to be marrying. I didn't know, however, what an amazing family I was marrying into. From the moment I met Matt's family I loved them and I felt as if I had been close with them my whole life. They welcomed me with open arms and their love and support has been something I had never expected, but something that I truly cherish. I love Matt's family very much, so we try to visit them whenever we can, especially when the out-of-staters make it into Florida. When we came down for our trip to the island we went out to dinner with Matt's cousin Chad and his wife Lauren and we had a great time (I wish I had pics). I love dinner conversations that could go on for hours if you let them. Matt and I ended up staying in Homestead for a few extra days after the island trip to spend time with his cousin Melissa and her kids who came down to Homestead from Georgia for an impromptu visit! I love it when good timing works out in our favor! We spent the days playing in the pool, playing with squirt guns, having a water balloon fight, setting off fireworks, feeding donkeys, and having some crazy dance parties (a Munz house tradition). I sure do love those crazy kids, they just melt my heart. I wish we got to see them all more. I think my favorite moment was when Dylan called me a ballerina princess because of the skirt I was wearing over my bathing suit. I hope that Matt and I can have kids soon enough (but not too soon) to run around with their cousins. I don't want them to miss out on all of the fun.
