Hey Jude!
So I have had this blog for over a year, and have not added a single entry. Boo me. Last year wasn't the greatest year in my life, but I have vowed to keep track of it regardless.
In August of last year, I found out that one of my very best friends, Jessica, was pregnant. The way we found out is actually quite funny, and one of my favorite memories ever (but thats just for us to know). I was also pregnant at the time, but my pregnancy was not to last. Jessica was there for me every step of the way, and I feel that in a lot of ways she let me be a part of her pregnancy with Jude and it has meant the world to me. Matt and I were honored to be a part of Jude's "birth day." Jessica was admitted to the hospital Friday, March 1, 2013 and we got the call to head over there around 3 am Sunday, March 3, 2013. She began pushing around 5 am, and delivered a very happy, healthy, and beautiful baby boy at 10:17 am via cesarian section. Matt and I arrived at the hospital around 5 am and camped out with Jessica's parents and sister Trish, and Graham's mom and step father. I know Jessica wasn't having the greatest time during labor, but we all sure were having fun. We must have been a rowdy bunch because 5 waiting rooms (they kept moving us) and 9 hours later we got to meet Jude for the first time. That sweet boy was definitely worth the wait. Congratulations Jessica and Graham, and welcome to the world Jude Thomas D'Alessandro! Thank you for letting us be a part of the biggest day of your lives.
